Description
Increasingly wary of her father's genetic research, Rachel Kramer decides that their 1939 trip to Germany will be her last. But a letter from an estranged friend changes everything. Kristine fears her SS officer husband sees their daughter, deaf since birth, as a blight on his Aryan bloodline. When Rachel uncovers shocking secrets in her father's documents, she teams with a young American journalist and the resistance to fight for those they barely know but come to love.
