This guidance document provides a summary of the applicable regulatory requirements associated with the Stage 1 Disinfectants and Disinfection Byproducts Rule promulgated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on December 16, 1998 and adopted by reference by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). This guidance provides a summary of the applicable requirements and the dates by which the requirements must be met. It is a basic "what and when" summary for all public water systems.
